hello, hello

My art work is a product of an interdisciplinary practice and almost always a result of irrepressible curiosity. Generally, I'm interested in collaborative story-telling in order to explore the peculiarities of being inside and outside of you and me. With a recent focus on [the function of play among] an elderly population, projects have been realized through participatory-performance, text, sound, and works on paper.

I received my MFA from Tufts/School of the Museum of Fine Arts (2013) and a BFA from Cornell University with a concentration in printmaking (2006). Currently, I work between Brooklyn and Brookline, MA, most often with my hands (through drawing/painting/print).

Not-too-recently, I began working with & for a global architect who thinks-big and deeply: and with his partner, a photographer whose work teems with compassion. Between the two, I'm hoping it's unavoidable not to grow more deeply [com]passionate.

... with that not-so-terrible-segue, I also recently adopted a Puerto Rican-sato puppy and call him Mister- all quite accidentally. While I'm perpetually attempting to feast and follow through; Mister has already mastered the former, with ease.

Please accept my gratitude for your interest and eyeballs.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION / CLASSROOM / WORKSHOP

i am grateful for opportunities to teach and facilitate safe and active environments in which children, adults, and seniors have the space and support to develop technical skills, confidence in speaking and thinking critically about their world, their work (and that of their peers), and a desire to strengthen an artistic practice that enriches their everyday.

collaborator

VISUAL / WRITTEN /  EVENT / KINETIC / ORAL-AURAL

learning from and collaborating with creatives and those in disparate fields is paramount in my artistic practice as well as my everyday: ideally an organic overlap. my underlying goal is for these collaborations to inform each participant's research, work, or lifestyle and challenge one an other's perspectives and modalities of thought. #^$%!! it's fun.
